A new animated release of the anime series Rurouni Kenshin is scheduled for 2023.

So far, Liden Films will animate the series and has announced promotional material such as a new video and staff.

The new information was announced at Aniplex Online Fest 2022 on September 24.

Soma Saito will be voicing Kenshin Himura and Rie Takahashi will be voicing Kaoru Kamiya in the new anime adaptation

Hideyo Yamamoto is the director of the series and Hideyuki Kurata is handling the series composition.

Terumi Nishii is producing all of the character designs for the anime. Yu Takami is in charge of the music for the show.

The original manga, Rurouni Kenshin, was published in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1994 to 1999 and a sequel of the same name went on Hiatus for about 6 months.

Following the arrest of Watsuki, his wife picked it up again.

Rurouni Kenshin has had three releases, a TV animation in 1996, a movie in 1997, and five live-action films.
