SAN FRANCISCO — The Warriors roster just took another hit.

The Warriors are already without Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II and Andre Iguodala for the foreseeable future, but now they could lose another key player.

Draymond Green is scheduled to undergo additional testing on Sunday due to a knee injury that has sidelined him for two consecutive games.

Green was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with what the team called a right knee injury. He is due to receive an X-ray and MRI to help the team’s medical team better understand the severity of his injury.

Green bumped his knee in the third quarter of Thursday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. He missed the game against the Houston Rockets the following night.

Green went through treatment on Saturday with no issues. But coach Steve Kerr said the team was surprised to hear he suffered a setback on Sunday.

“He blew up today,” Kerr said before the game. “Therefore, he will be examined more thoroughly today by our medical team. It was kind of unexpected the way he went through treatment yesterday, everything looked good and he had a setback today, so we’ll learn more today and have more tomorrow.

With Green out, the Warriors should return with the same starting lineup that opened Friday’s victory over the Hornets. Jordan Poole, Donte DiVincenzo, Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga and Kevon Looney will start on Sunday in an important Western Conference game.

This is a story in development. Come back for updates.
