TikToker Used Tortilla Chips To Measure Skims Micro Thong, Bralette

To the fun of the internet, a woman used Trader Joe’s restaurant-style tortilla chips to demonstrate the size of her Skims micro bralette and thong.

Kim Kardashian’s shapewear and clothing line, Skims, made waves on TikTok last Sunday when a woman named Sarah, under her @ accountbbsarite, shared a video about a recent purchase. She told Insider that she “took a chance” on Skims Fits Everybody micro thong Y Micro triangle bralettethey cost about $40 total.

“So if you’ve been looking at the SKIMS micro bikini and wondering the size, these are scaling tortilla chips,” Sarah said. She included a comparison photo, which showed the bralette cups and thong front covered in individual chips.

Later, Sarah tried on the bralette and micro thong set and shared her thoughts in a follow-up video.

Skims representatives did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.

Sarah made a TikTok about the bralette and micro thong after her boyfriend and friend jokingly referred to it as “the Dorito bikini.”

Sarah, a 28-year-old software engineer, told Insider that she decided to take a chance on the silver bralette and micro-thong after they went on sale. She had previously bought the bralette in two different colors for a summer music festival, but she tried on the micro thong once the underwear arrived at her house after a recent order.

“I laughed so hard at how small it was,” Sarah said. “I was surprised at how small the pants were, especially when I tried them on over my clothes. It was all thread.”

The idea to share the size comparison on TikTok came after Sarah’s boyfriend Ryan and their mutual friend Sean made fun of the bralette and micro thong.

“My boyfriend Ryan and our best friend Sean called it the Dorito bikini when I initially wore the top,” Sarah said. “We were crying with laughter at the size of the bottoms, and he took the tortilla chips out of the cabinet and did a comparison. The chips were bigger than the entire bikini fabric.”

Sarah said her boyfriend then sent her the photo, which she first posted to her Instagram stories before sharing it on TikTok. The video soon went viral on the app, garnering more than 7.9 million views in less than a week and nearly 5,000 comments from TikTok users, many of whom joked about the ordeal.

“(Opens bag of Doritos) borders on deception,” read one comment with 20,000 likes.

“My 5-layer meaty purrito has at least 5 tortilla chips in it,” added another comment with 67,000 likes.

Even Urban Decay’s official TikTok account chimed in, writing, “pass the guacamole.”

According to Sarah, the jokes and variety of double entendres caught her attention when the video began to gain traction online.

“I was shocked when Urban Decay Cosmetics’ social media manager started cracking the jokes,” Sarah said. “I’m waiting to see if Kim reacts.”

And while most of the comments were for laughs, some TikTok users noted that the bralette would be perfect for those with a smaller chest size.
