Britney Spears is not in any kind of danger, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Page Six on Wednesday after concerned fans asked the department for a welfare check.

“I can confirm that we have received calls at our office and, essentially, I can confirm that we do not believe that Britney Spears is in any kind of harm or danger,” a police spokesperson said.

The officer did not disclose how many calls they received and said he would not disclose whether they made direct contact with Spears, 41, or how they knew she was okay.

The police spokesman explained that the reason they provided minimal details was due to the fact that greater transparency was a “public trust issue.”

“It’s just a matter of privacy for the residents of our county,” the officer said. “It is a matter of public trust. We just don’t reveal that kind of thing. [such as wellness checks]. It’s not a crime.

“I called because I am concerned about the physical safety of a resident in your area,” one of the callers, who gave her name as “Christina,” can be heard in the clip.

When the officer asked why the fan wanted a wellness check, “Christina” replied, “There has been suspicious activity online and now her account has been deleted.”
