HI JASON. WE ARE HERE AT THE ELKHART RUST, OFF I-35. THE SUN IS OUT A LITTLE BUT YOU CAN SEE SNOWFLAKES FLYING HERE AS. SO IF WE WANT TO TAKE THINGS TO THE RUST, MANY DRIVERS STOOP FOR A QUICK BREAK ON INTERSTATE EIGHT, MANY CARS ARE HEADING TO THE HIGHWAY NOW COMPARED TO THIS MORNING. AND PEOPLE ARE DEFINITELY GETTING A LITTLE SLOW DOWN BECAUSE OF ALL THAT SNOW FALLING. THE ROADS ARE GETTING A LITTLE SMOOTH TOO. SO I DEFINITELY WANT TO BE CAREFUL IF YOU’RE BEING THIS MORNING HERE ON THE RUST OFF WE MIGHT FEEL THESE EXHAUSTED CONDITIONS TOO. SLIPPERY SO OBVIOUSLY IT APPLIES TO ROSES. STILL NOT PLOWED. I DEFINITELY WANT TO SLOW DOWN AND BE A LITTLE PATIENT TOO. SO THAT YOU ARRIVE WHERE YOU ARE WITH THE MOST SAFETY. EVEN ROAD CONDITIONS ELSEWHERE. LET’S TAKE CARE OF THINGS. SCOTT CARPENTER. Hey, SCOTT. YES. HEY, NICOLE LOOKS LIKE YOU’RE ENJOYING YOUR FIRST BIG SNOW HERE IN IOWA. MEANWHILE, ACROSS THE STATE, WE HAVE THESE NORTH TRAVEL CONDITIONS. I WANT TO SHOW METRO HERE. WE ARE SEEING A LOT OF GREEN ROADS APPEAR. AND NOW WE HAVE THE PARTIALLY COVERED BLUE ROADS STARTING TO COME OUT AGAIN WITH THAT FRESH SNOW THAT IS FALLING. SO KEEP IN MIND WHEN YOU GO OUT ON YOUR TRAVELS. I WANT TO GO NORTH, THE STATE HERE, AND THAT’S WHERE WE SEE THESE PROBLEMS IN FORT DODGE MASON CITY, YOU STILL HAVE 100% COVERED ROADS AND YOU’RE DEALING WITH ALL MORNING. I’LL SHOW YOU JEFFERSON HERE. THESE ARE THE ROADS IN JEFFERSON. THEY ARE ON THE LINE OF PARTIALLY COVERED AND COMPLETELY COVERED. SO YOU CAN SEE THEY HAVE SOME DECENT ROAD WORK THERE. ROAD 20 IN ROCKWELL CITY. WELL, THAT IS WHITE KNUCKLE DRIVING, ISN’T IT? WAY BACK IN THE NORTHWEST PART OF OUR STATE, THE WEST MIXMASTER, THERE WAS A JUMP PROBLEM ON 235 WEST, BUT THAT HAS BEEN CLEARED AND WE HAVE TRAFFIC COMING BACK TO THE WEST MILE LONG BRIDGE. THOSE ARE YOU WANT TO BE CAREFUL UNDER BRIDGES, ON BRIDGES ON SLOPES, WAY OFF SLOPES, SLOW DOWN, BE CAREFUL AND MATCH AS POSSIBLE WITH YOUR TIRE SQUARES EVEN IF YOU GO DOWNTOWN ON 235 ON 28TH STREET WHERE YOU SEE SOME OF THESE COOL FLAKES FLYING HERE ON THE SUBWAY. THEN LET’S GO TO TOUCH AND GO A LITTLE THROUGH THE SUBWAY. BUT IF YOU GO NORTH WHERE THOSE ROADS HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM OR YOU SEE THE SPEED IS FALLING MUCH SLOWER IN THE FORT DODGE JEFFERSON AREA AS I SHOWED WHILE THEY DEAL WITH THOSE BRUSH ROAD CONDITIONS, GO SLOW, TAKE OFF DEFINITELY TODAY AND GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME. THANKS FOR WATCHING LIVE WITH KELLY AND RY
