Cleanup efforts continue on I-70, which remains closed eastbound from Airpark Road at the east end of the greater Denver metro area to Byers. dozens of Trucks crashed on Wednesday in icy and snowy conditions near Strasburg. Four cars were also involved in the crash.

A semi is cut in half and the goods it was carrying are scattered in the snow. Other trucks are overturned and heavily damaged.

Two truck drivers asked to be taken to the hospital, but Cpl. Ian Alvarado told CBS News Colorado “No one is seriously hurt, which is truly a miracle.”
So far it’s unclear how long it will take to clear the accidents and reopen the eastbound lanes, but the hope is that it will be sometime during the day on Thursday.
Among the truck drivers who crashed was owner/operator Arturo Garcia, whose cab and trailer were destroyed. He was transporting a cargo of onions to Louisiana.
