Watch trailer for the Hulu miniseries that finally gives a sequel to the 1981 epic comedy
more than 40 years after mel brooks had the presence of mind to title his 1981 comedy epic History of the world, part I, the movie sequel it’s finally ready for release with a similar set of stars and an objectively loose portrayal of historical events.
Unlike its predecessor, which scored centuries in 90 minutes, History of the World, Part II will be a four-night event, beginning March 6 on hulu.
nick kroll, Ike Barinholz, Wanda Sykes and Brooks himself lead the cast, which also includes Quinta Brunson, seth rogen (as Noah of “The Ark” fame), Zazie Beatz, dove cameronKumail Nanjiani, Sarah Silverman, Taika Waititi, and dozens more will appear over the course of the miniseries.
The new preview of Part II — hosted by Brooks, who co-wrote the miniseries — offers a taste of some of the historical figures whose history will be falsified: Alexander Graham Bell, Ulysses Grant, Sigmund Freud, Rasputin, Amelia Earhart, Harriet Tubman, Kublai Khan, and Jesus Christ.
Also participating in the fun are Josh Gad, Johnny Knoxville, Emily Ratajkowski, JB Smoove, Jay Ellis, Danny Devito, Pamela Adlon… and those are just the ones featured in the teaser.
